Fair Trade Design

Socially responsible fair trade design is starting to make some momentum in the market place.  Fair trade has been along for a long time benefiting compromised communities in third world countries.  The food products like coffee and cotton are more common, but fair trade also can pertain to art.  Artisans in third world countries have amazing skills, making beautiful products.  Many of these people do not have the resources to market themselves.  With just a little help through fair trade outlets these artisans can sustain their family and in some cases an entire community by creating a new economy through the production of their products.  Fair trade is a beautiful thing, keep an eye out for these products it’s a purchase that gives back.
