The Pot of Gold at the End of a Rainbow

I own a rental home.  It wasn’t necessarily my intent, but it worked out for the best.  We had a home to sell but, like many other people at the time, we had a difficult time selling it.  We talked to a realtor and after 6 months of very little activity, we made the decision to rent it to a young family.  They had few belongings and asked if we would consider furnishing the home with appliances.  We shopped hard looking for cheap refrigerators and the like.  Eventually, we found a moving sale where the family was willing to practically give everything away if we would haul them out.  To us, that was like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
