Choosing the Right Materials in Making Silk Flowers

Choose a range of fabrics in making silk flowers. You may like to use the natural ones but synthetic fibres are more flexible. Dupioni and organza are the most perfect silk names for this purpose. Create flower shapes and circles from these silks. Carefully burn the edges with a candle then stitch the centres. You can also use beads, crystals, jewels or any shaped buttons to the centres of the hand-made flowers.  If you want a more perfect flower like rose, cut elongated strips of silk fabric and fold them.  Trim the corners with scissors and burn the edges.  Roll the fabric as if you are forming a rose. If you are more comfortable use floral wire to support the stems and leaves, you can also use it instead of wooden stick.
