Will Fashion Designing Schools Assist in Helping Students Find Jobs?

My daughter has been looking into a few different fashion designing schools. She has always been interested in fashion design and thinks she may want to go to this kind of program in college. A friend of ours who graduated from one of these programs recently told us that her school did not help at all in finding her a job. In fact, she has been out of school for nearly a year now and has yet to find a great job as a designer. This makes me wonder if all college programs are like this. Does anyone know if these programs offer assistance to students in finding jobs?
