Why Do Advertiser Add Promtional Items With the Product

He trimmed a dog on air to show everyone how great the item was. Along with the product he off 2 additional promotional products. Then I was thinking if the product is so great why do they always try to reel you in with the extra products. I thought the price was reasonable without adding the extra items. I actually ended up purchasing a pair just to see how they work because the salesman said there was a money back guarantee.
