Single parent is a phenomenon that has been on the rise in many countries in the west and one factor that has been significantly responsible for this is the rate of divorce. Marriage not being stable leads to divorce, which leads to children going to either the mother or the father, and then it becomes a constant struggle for the single parent to raise the child on his own. In a recent survey it was found that there are more than 20 million single parents in the US which shows how menacing the problem has become. Parenting is a job that is best done when both the parents are present.
